Good hostel with a very good host! Also very close to the beach

The worst ever accommodation or hostel I’ve seen!!!!!!! It’s very dirty the environment the surroundings! The room itself the doors seems like hasn’t been cleaned for ages! I know this was outside of Heraklion. but putting a wrong information on the site is completely not right! I thought I got a good deal. But when we got there we got bed bites and can’t sleep literally the whole night. The non stop barking from dogs. The distance from the freaking bus station, market and from beach!!! That’s not less than 1km, we had walked almost 3km just to find Lidl. Along the way we didn’t find a bus station neither supermarket he has referring to us. I don’t mind walking this 3km distance but mind you “the horrror film” you do watch on film. That secluded are where only cars trucks passed on highways! Yes, we walked on a highway with my young child!!!!! Along the road I though we will be run over anytime by vehicles! I could go on but I don’t want to ruin my vacation going back on that thoughts! I check out right away and moved to the Center! I know you get what paid but these wrong information and these testimonials from previous guests. It’s absolutely hard to believe from what I exactly experienced! This doesn’t deserve a single star! Never been so scared in my whole life. I met another girl on the road whose completely lost way to the hostel. I told her this is going to be your worst experiences in hostel world if she go ahead. Luckily she listens to me.

You can access the hostel from heraklion by car / with the bus and a 10 min walk / ask the owner (who is a very nice, flexible and accessible person) to come and get you with his car. Also if you need a ride to heraklion or the airport. This is a very good value for money. You have a common kitchen, living room/terrasse, dormitories and bathrooms. Everything is clean and in good shape. There is also a nice beach 15 min from the hostel by feet. I had a great time there and met a lot of people. It is a very warm and welcoming place. The owner gave me all information I needed and was always there for help. Thanks a lot !

the host is really friendly and its like a family home and for the price its a really valuable place. Perfectly fine!! Go there with the bus 7 or with your car. Not recommend to walk there from the airport :) The beach is around 25min to walk - Csery -

Accommodation was perfect (bed was comfortable, kitchen well equipped and the bad room was very big and clean). By 10 minutes walking is the bus station (to Heraklion) and by 15 the beach. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He gave me some useful recommendations. Quality-price 5/5 A place to come back.

George, the owner of the dormitory, is a great host. I arrived late at night and he still accepted a walk-in reservation, offered a ride from the airport and then back to the city center. His rates are very reasonable as well.

I don’t know why this place has bad reviews George is kind hilarious and full of joy! One of the nicest and most accommodating hosts we’ve ever had! The location is remote but the price reflects the location. But there are many busses into town. If you are travelling on a budget St. George’s is an excellent place to stay!

Experience you shouldn't miss People who are rating this place with less than 5 Stars have the wrong focus in life. The Host family is so kind and welcoming to everyone. The moment you arrive there you have the feeling that you become a part of their family. Everyone is taking care of you trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible. If your asking for something they ll bring you the double without charging you for it. Even if you don't ask for it they ll taking care of you. It was so nice to meet such welcoming open minded people. I would recommend to go there and will have a very special night. It won't be my last stay at this awesome place. Looking forward to the next stay.
