They are all stones but the water is crystal clear and you can see everything

Picturesque spot and a very beautiful church with representative Kythira architecture.

Small church (which we did not visit as it is closed) on the beach to the left of the lighthouse on the northernmost tip of the island, more or less in the center of a very suggestive bay. We went there to see the sunset, very beautiful with the rocks overlooking the sea that are colored orange / red and the soke that sets behind the Peloponnese. Unfortunately, when the wind blows from the sea, the beach is filled with waste and even the tourists who stop there show that they are not particularly civil in leaving the waste in the 2 bins near the church instead of loading it in the car and taking it away. The sea, when there is no wind, is crystal clear with many shades of blue. Friends who practice spearfishing also say it is fishy. The road to reach the Church and the beach is rather rough and puts a strain on cars that are not off-road vehicles, but with a lot of foresight you can also do it with "normal" cars, however it is not for the "faint of heart"!

The beach of Agios Nikolaos is located just below the lighthouse in Moudari, at the northernmost part of the island. The scenery is stunning and really worth the trip. It is a double beach. At the end of the first there is a rocky point and a chapel followed by the second beach which is smaller but much more beautiful. A river ends at the left and a big cave. rocky points for exploration. In the background the Lighthouse and Cape Swati.

Nice clean beach at the north of the island without many people but the road is dirt and bumpy
