Samothraki Beach Apartment & Suites Hotel - Makrilies beach

A nice place to spend your holiday, a bit expensive, in the southern part of the island. It has a pool and a beach (not sand, only stones, but small sized). The sunbeds are free and you can get service by the beach: coffee, juice, beer, fast food - pizza, salads, hot-dogs etc. The prices are decent at the beach. In the hotel you can get also food a la carte - pasta, pizza, slow cooked food - limited. It's a nice and quiet place, above the sea, with a very nice view. There are 2 taverns nearby with great tasty food and classic greek experience.

Probably in the top three locations we've ever been at. Breathtaking view all around, very smart villa (Eroessa) - despite the unfortunate wet concrete colour of the groundfloor bathroom. Well furnished and comfortable oudoor area, lots of useful appliances, fully equipped kitchen. Extremely helpful and kind receptionist/admin./host Jelena. Great tavernas nearby. Beautiful island. It treally ticked all the boxes.

Had a great time, the house has a great atmosphere and is equipped with everything you might need. A big plus is the view.

What a waste! What a waste of such a view and proximity to the beach! Room 10, where we were allocated, suffered from reported / alleged daily water cuts during the mornings as lack of air conditioning in the bedroom (the equipment there only functioned as a fan merely). It was upon arrival that we experienced the 1st water cut and the receptionist just lied to us, pretending it to be a general water cut throughout the municipality, yet the irrigation system for the lawn and flowers was running all right; soon after our complaint, the water magically reappeared in our room with simultaneous stopping of the garden’s irrigation… During the following mornings the same ordeal was repeated every single day, with soap residues left on us and cold-hearted members of staff pretending they cared, yet unable to remedy! The whole indoors lighting was inadequate, to say the least: in kitchen one couldn’t really use a knife safely because of the dimmest light there. There was no pricelist displayed inside the room, despite the legal requirement for hotels in Greece to do so. The staff at reception seemed to carefully listen to our complaints, but did nothing to remedy or improve or cix things. The only thing reception did was to demand an incredibly expensive price (skyrocketing up to €85 per night) for accommodation with absolutely no value for money at all…‼️…:-( It’s a pity that our holiday in the magnificent Island of Samothrace was kind of ruined because of the dreadful experience of our suffering by staying there.

Wonderfull place, exceptional service, accommodation .. also shaded parking , prices are more than ok versus the mainland . Best place for a quiet and relaxing time in Samothrace !!!

Under pandemic circumstances we enjoyed again a very peaceful and relaxing holiday in an amazing environment. Our guest were more than welcoming and professional. I am truly grateful for their carefulness and hospitality. We are looking forward to our next visit here.

It is a wonderful location, we consider it the best hotel on the island. The view is amazing, the food fresh and tasty, the staff friendly and smiling. The hotel has everything: view, swimming pool, children's playground, football field, its own beach with umbrellas and sunbeds. The beach is pebble, but so are all the beaches in Samothraki. Breakfast is buffet style, rich with the same dishes every day. We had half board (breakfast and dinner). Dinner was fixed, a salad and a main course (which was the menu of the day). We were satisfied, the food was sufficient and tasty. I also received dessert from the house. We liked that it was quiet, green and not crowded. It is a perfect holiday location, we will be back!

I had an excellent stay here. It is the nicest hotel on the island with a beautiful pool and ocean views. It’s got everything you need and the breakfast is excellent! The entire staff was incredible. Jelena was an absolute standout! She really made me and my friend’s stay special. Felt like family. Thank you!
