Nice village, great beach, good food and nice people. It was empty in May. The sea was great.

I stayed 4 days at the elixir studio hotel (find my review here) in early October 2020. I really liked the area very much. From the resorts to the sea there are about 20m, practically a pedestrian street, a series of verandas right above the beach, beach and sea. The beach has black volcanic sand, and each resort is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas (in our case included in the price). The sea is beautiful, apart from the first day which was rough for the rest top. Very high temperatures, always over 30 during the day and around 22 in the evening. Even the classic evening sweater was never needed. You really can't miss having breakfast on the veranda overlooking the sea. It is also unmissable to dine in all the restaurants that you will find along the seafront where you will also find a series of shops and bazaars equipped with everything you may need. The prices are fair and in the restaurants you can enjoy typical Greek dishes and fantastic grilled fish / meat. My personal advice is to go to "perigiali" where you will find a super service and top dishes. I recommend the grilled fish. Ask for the owner and tell them that Cristiano is sending you! You will not be disappointed. If during the day it seems a beautiful landscape, in the evening you will be amazed. The lights of the various rooms will be the masters thus creating a truly suggestive place. The only drawback, being a pedestrian street, you will have to leave your car in the parking lots (huge and free) that you will find about 100m from the center of the seafront. What can I say .. I'll definitely be back.
