Well to compare the cost with the travelling experience it is as if you pay with gold Ryanair and all the myths of the risks you take when flying with them, happens to you. There is always a minimum of an hour delay , clearly not because of the weather but because of the bad bad coordination of boarding and disembarking in certain occasions and because maybe the departure and arrival times are false from scratch. The company refuses to reimburse the passengers with 50% of the ticket as pointed by the law of course. And also refuses to change the travel durations . Seajet you claim to be faster than you are and ask credit to it with insanely expensive tickets ! You're a shame. To conclude I should mention how they don't apply the guidelines for the pandemic and don't keep the distances with empty seats in between people not travelling together so they can go with the maximum capacity. Of course there is no proper check of covid testing results or vaccination certificates before boarding as well. The least I can do is leave this here and maybe influence some to think again when planning to travel with seajets. Thank you :)

How do you say "scam" in Greek? Seajets is one of many ferry companies that offer connections to the Cyclads. As tourists who have never used them, we picked our trips based on minimum travel time and maximum use of our limited stay, and that led us to Seajets. First the Athens - Milos leg. Advertised as taking 2 h 40 mins, arriving to Milos by 9:40 AM, perfect to plan a full day at the island. As the ferry makes a first stop at Sifnos, the estimated distance measured on a map is 200 km.; to make the trip on time, and allowing 10 minutes for the docking at Sifnos, the average speed must be (200 km / 2.5 hrs ) = 80 km/h. Now that's a whole lot of speed for a ferry... not impossible but pretty uncommon. (I wish I had done the math before purchasing the tickets) Upon leaving Athens, it became pretty obvious that the thing wasn't going at anywhere near that speed. 80 km/h is the realm of fast offshore boats, and we were proceeding at a leisurely pace; sure enough, when it was "scheduled time" to arrive to Milos, we hadn't yet reached Sifnos. In the end, we were more than 2 hours late to Milos. A couple days later, we took the same ferry, now from Milos to Santorini (Thera). We had to be at the port on time, but we knew the ferry would probably be late again... and sure enough it was, same or worse than on our first trip. Plus, the scheduled travel time to Thera was again exceeded by a large factor. On both trips, the ferry personnel claimed the ferry had an engine problem a few days ago, and that's why it was forced to go slower. I think that's bull. I think it's a regular "fast" ferry, able to do about 30 knots (55 km/h), and the posted travel times are completely unrealistic. Luckily, we had decided in advanced the Thera - Athens return leg was too long to travel by sea, even with the "optimistic" Seajets schedule, so we had a flight for that. In summary, don't assume the arrival times posted online for Seajets are even remotely correct. The things go much slower. And if you have a tight schedule, you are probably better off flying to the islands that have an airport (Aegean is a lousy airline, but at least the planes fly at the advertised speed)

Seajets is the least reliable ferry company ever! In May 2020, we were meant to travel with them but Covid prevented us to travel to Greece (airlines cancelled our flights). According to Seajets T&Cs, we should have had a 100% refund as we cancelled more than 1 month ahead of the trip. Seajets decided to change their rules in order to avoid the refund. According the Greek law (new amendment V 4722 / 15.09.2020 of 15 septembre 2020), Ferry companies are obliged to provide a full refund 18 months after the booking (i.e. 17 December 2021 for us). Once again, Seajets are trying to avoid it and are now saying they will refund in April 2022. How often will they keep postponing the refund and not respect their promises and T&Cs? You can definitely NOT trust Seajets! For your information, the two other ferry companies have refunded the tickets in 2021. Seajets is the last one not having do it yet. Because of companies like them, we are not willing to travel again to Greece.

We took the ferry to Athens from Santorini. The ferry’s were clean and comfortable. On the smaller ferry going out we were able to upgrade to platinum for a decent price and the seats were bigger and more roomy. The service was very nice. We never had any problems. The outgoing ferry was 1.5 hours late to Santorini which was fine but was annoying to our taxi driver. The returning ferry was about 40 minutes late but they were very efficient in docking etc.

The trip from Piraeus to Santorini was three hours longer. Got to paid 85 euro/person to arrive in the same time as a ferry that took 50 euro for 8 hours. They didn't even notify us for this. The ferry was clean and well maintained. The transfer back was 1 hour later, although we were notified that we would be only 10 minutes late.

I took Seajet two times from Santorini to Ios and back. What should have been a 30mins fast trip turned into a disaster and stress and ruined two days of my holiday! AVOID IT! First time - 3h delay, second time - 5h delay!! No joke! Sitting in the burning sun for hours at the port waiting for it to arrive then being pressed with thousands of people in a crowd inside! Awful! Felt like one of thousands cows being transferred to another farm! Zero holiday feeling, zero comfort.. If you are thinking of visiting another island, DONT Do IT, you will just loose days of your holiday sitting at the port! Update: +1Star for fast customer support answer with apologies

COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE SEEN ANYWHERE!!! (and that includes Europe, North America and Africa) the staff that serves food takes their mask off when nobody is looking, they made NO CHECK FOR COVID, they are a floating public health risk. The WHO and the GREEK MINISTRY OF PUBLIC HEALTH should take IMEDIATE ACTION because they are deliberately endangering travelers. When I wanted to file a complaint the reception told me to email it, I did and still no answer for 5 days now. If you care about your health choose ANY OTHER ferry company (Anek or Blue ferries take their job seriously) avoid seajets at all costs!!!!!! PS: they were over an hour late for departure, they literally drove us like cattle onto the ship not checking at all for COVID VACCINATION, we arrived at our destination 4 hours after the scheduled arrival and please check out the pics below to see how the crew "respects" COVID MEASURES

Feeling compelled to write a review cause based on the ones here, I was dreading our Seajets Santorini-Mykonos round trip. But we couldn't have been happier with the journeys or the customer service received! Our first ferry was slightly late but nothing to write home about, and our ferry back was bang on time. The interiors are pretty lush even in Silver class and getting people (and cars) off and on the ferry is done at military speed, which is great as you don't waste time (counted three minutes at the stop in Ios). What's more, we decided to leave Mykonos two days early and I feared I'd have to buy new tickets but one phone call to head office later (on a Saturday) and my reservation was changed for me, no problem, and no extra charge. Can't really ask for much more than that?
