★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can find plenty of kefalonian candies like mantoles and pastokidono etc. The shopkeepers were kind enough to treat us mantoles to taste and were very polite. I would definetely suggest if you want to buy traditional candies

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sesoulas Bakery is the oldest one in Kefalonia (from 1890!!!) and produces the most delicious mandolas - famous handmade Kefalonian sweets out of local almonds and natural ingredients.
The bakery has a lot of other handmade deserts like pastries, rusks and really well-known by Greek visitors and locals. It is family business for generations and is currently run by George and Lina - very friendly and nice Kefalonian couple whom we made friends with while staying at the island.
We're enjoying our Sesoulas deserts already back to our home in Ireland, but if you are in Kefalonia - visit Sesoulas and I bet you will like their sweets as much as we do!;)
