★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Σταθμός του Προαστιακού σιδηροδρόμου της διαδρομής Αθήνα - Χαλκίδα. Εξυπηρετεί την περιοχή της Μαλακάσας και τις γειτονικές περιοχές του δήμου Ωρωπού. Δε διαθέτει υπαλλήλους ή εκδοτήρια εισιτηρίων (η έκδοση γίνεται μέσω του app της trainose). Συνήθως έχει πολλούς μετανάστες από το hotspot της Μαλακάσας που βρίσκεται κοντά.
Suburban Railway Station of the route Athens - Chalkida. Serves the area of Malakasa and the neighboring areas of the municipality of Oropos. It does not have employees or ticket offices (issuance is done through the trainose app). It usually has a lot of immigrants from the nearby Malakassa hotspot.

From there you can go all the way up through the main street to the east-north trails of the Mount Parnitha.
Very different vegetation and of course more challenging as well. You wont regret.
You can reach Mola from here after 10 kilometers hike all the way up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every time I happened to be there, I felt like I was really sticking out. I was the only white guy, among dozens of refugees (the military base in Malakasa, is a refugee hot spot nowadays) and there were only a handful of white people I came across in this station.
Very convenient station for the areas of Malakasa and Ippokratos Politeia, Southeast of the station...but dramatically forgotten.
Edit: Surprisingly, the elevator of the station is working.
