★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely hotel and great privacy! Of the minuses - it’s quite difficult to get there, I advise you to leave in the morning and call in from the west, and not from the east.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful isolated apartment hotel with a cozy restaurant which serves mainly local food, and they usually offer a special dish of the day. It is family driven and I believe the foods are made by the grandmother, making the dishes of good tasty home-made quality. The food prices are quite fair and it is worth eating in the restaurant everyday. The view from the restaurant and the rooms is just breathtaking. All family members are so nice, warm and kind which just adds to the charm of the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly people, super Espresso!!!!, draft Beer served in "frozen" glasses, beautiful view from the taverna, typical greek menu (salad, tsatsiki, souvlaki, fish, vegetables, .......). It takes about 3 min. To the beach, wich spends shadow in the morning. Bring your goggels (diving equipment) to explore the glassclear sea.
Only the beds were a little too uncomfortable for my old corpse ;) ..... all in all: a very recommendable place for young couples, families and youths. Thanks for this relaxing 10 day holidays at sfinias! Stefan

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Charming family-owned and operated hotel + taverna near Agiofarago Beach. There are some up-scale accommodations down hill from the check-in site + taverna. You are really staying on a farm B&B: they have cute sheep grazing a nice distance from the rooms, and a greenhouse that supplies the kitchen. The lamb we had was grown on the farm, and they let us buy some sweet peppers for our picnic lunches. The taverna overlooks the ocean, and has great outside ambiance. Highly recommended!
A few misc notes:
* This is off the main tourist tracks, and the road quality to get there poorer than average on Crete. It was no problem getting there with a dinky rental car though.
* They said you can drive down to the beach (I'd walk!) but we never made it.
* It was much cheaper than any other place we stayed in Crete.
* There are some run-down buildings on the premises, but the ones they directed us to were fantastic.
* It was super clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very quiet place, the owners are amazing and understanding. If you want to be isolated from the rest of the world this is your place! The rooms are just next to the beach and they have a very well priced taverna for all your meals.
