★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I were excited to read that there were some newly developed climbing areas on Sifnos, but less eager to tote all our gear around Greece. Then we learned about Sifnos Walking Tours and their proposal to take one climbing. Thus, on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, Yannis escorted us through a scramble-y hike to a shaded site just outside of Kamares. I honestly don't know what to be more enthusiastic about--his thoughtful, safety-conscious, and well-informed approach or the beautiful climbing, with a wide range of well-protected routes (a bit softly rated, at least when it came to the easier climbs, so also good for your ego). I would recommend climbing with Sifnos Walking tours both to experienced climbers who would like a guide to show them what's where, and to help limit the need to bring ropes, etc., and to new climbers who want to try out the sport--you couldn't find a better instructor and guide than Yannis, or a better place to fall in love with climbing.

Incredible climbing field (#2 Nymfaio) with a breathtaking view on the sea and the beautiful rocks. Routes very well equipped.
