About SKOUNTZOU EVGENIA
Η Ευγενία Σκούντζου αποφοίτησε από την Κτηνιατρική Σχολή του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης το 1987. Παρέμεινε ως άμισθη Βοηθός στη Χειρουργική Κλινική της Κτηνιατρικής Σχολής του Α.Π.Θ. μεταξύ 1987-1988. Στη συνέχεια έγινε δεκτή με ερευνητική υποτροφία στην Κτηνιατρική Σχολή του University of Wisconsin-Madison, όπου ολοκλήρωσε τις μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές tης με τίτλο Master of Science, το 1990. Με την καθοδήγηση του καθηγητή D.E.Bjorling εργάστηκε με θέμα τις «Βλάβες επαναιμάτωσης» και με καθηγητή τον James Schoster διδάχθηκε Οφθαλμολογία.
Το 1993 προσκλήθηκε να παρακολουθήσει τον καθηγητή Marc Simon, πρωτοπόρο της Κτηνιατρικής Οφθαλμολογίας στην Ευρώπη και μόνιμο ομιλητή Συνεδρίων της Ευρ. Κτην. Οφθαλμολογικής Εταιρείας, στο ιατρείο του στο Παρίσι.
Το 1991 ξεκίνησε τη λειτουργία του Χειρουργικού Ιατρείου Μικρών Ζώων στην Αθήνα, με σκοπό την εξυπηρέτηση οφθαλμολογικών περιστατικών, Χειρουργικής Μαλακών Μορίων και στη συνέχεια Χειρουργικής με Laser και παραπομπών για ιατρεία στην Ελλάδα, καθώς και ευρύτερα.
Η Ε.Σκούντζου παρακολουθεί Σεμινάρια Συνεχιζόμενης Εκπαίδευσης της Ευρωπαϊκής Κτηνιατρικής Οφθαλμολογικής Εταιρείας ετησίως καθώς και του North American Veterinary Congress, Οrlando, Florida.
Είναι ομιλήτρια σε Πανελλήνια Συνέδρια, Επιστημονικές Ημερίδες, Διημερίδες, Σεμινάρια Επιστημονικών Εταιρειών και έχει δημοσιεύσει άρθρα σχετικά με την Κτηνιατρική Οφθαλμολογία σε έγκριτα Ελληνικά και Διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά. Είναι εκπαιδεύτρια Χειρουργικής Οφθαλμολογίας σε επιμορφωτικά Επιστημονικά Σεμινάρια που απευθύνονται σε ελεύθερους επαγγελματίες.
Είναι μέλος της Ευρωπαϊκής Κτηνιατρικής Οφθαλμολογικής Εταιρείας (ESVO), από το 1993.
Εξασκεί την Οφθαλμολογία και τη Χειρουργική με Laser και τα πεδία των ενδιαφερόντων της περιλαμβάνουν την Οδοντιατρική και την Αναγεννητική Ιατρική.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Σήμερα επισκέφθηκα το κτηνιατρείο με το κουνελάκι μου πρώτη φορά! Εμεινα πολύ ευχαριστημένη! Επαγγεματισμος , μεγάλη γνώση στο αντικειμενο και πολύ ευγένεια!!! Βρήκαν αμέσως λύση στο πρόβλημα που υπάρχει και με καθησυχάσαν πολυ ! Μακάρι να σας είχα γνωρίσει νωρίτερα! Μπράβο σας!
 Today I visited the vet with my bunny for the first time! I was very happy! Professionalism, great knowledge in the subject and very kindness !!! They immediately found a solution to the existing problem and reassured me a lot! I wish I had met you earlier! Well done!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Εξαιρετική γιατρός και πεπειραμένη στο αντικείμενο της. Ο γάτος μου είχε εντρόπιο κάτω βλεφάρου και στα δυο του μάτια και ένα θέμα στα δόντια του. Προσιτή στις τιμες για τη δουλειά που κάνει. Τυπική και επεξηγηματική. Θα την συνιστούσα ανεπιφύλακτα.
Excellent doctor and experienced in its subject. My cat had a lower eyelid entropy in both of his eyes and a subject in his teeth. Affordable prices for the work he does. Formal and explanatory. I would highly recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very expensive at every visit (40€ without VAT). Although my dog had cancer (late stadium) she proposed to do surgery on eye and teeth cleaning. It gives you the impression that she's sees just dollars (euros) in canines. Positively is the relatively short waiting time

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very professional and good at what she does. She explains every step of the way and makes you feel comfortable and most importantly, she takes her time with you and keeps file. Now my cat's eye is getting better and better thanks to her. The only reason that I've given her 4/5 stars is cause the waiting area is actually outside and I imagine with bad weather it's going to be a worse experience.
PS: I've read at other reviews that she is cruel and bluh bluh. What animal is going to be quite and calm when a stranger pokes it's eye? The animal is going to suffer for a bit and some owners might feel uncomfortable but that's the way it is. It's not her fault.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my kitten here for his eye issues a few years ago. She berated me for the condition of his eye even though I had just taken him in off the street and was visiting her precisely to work out what to do. She gave me drops and when those didn't work, she spoke to me rudely and accused me of not actually giving him the drops (I never missed the drops). She then accused me of having parties at my house which exacerbated the condition (I lived alone and rarely had people over). She was, in short, quite ridiculous and to my horror, had me in tears in her clinic. I visited her several times, coughed up a large amount of money, and was left feeling like I was to blame when her drops didn't work.
I took my kitten to another reputable vet who immediately insisted on a small eye operation to remove the third eyelid which had fused to the eye ball and was causing the problems. After the operation, he was a different cat. We continue to do check ups and he's doing very well.
I've been a cat owner all my life, and as I have frequently rescued, I am used to dealing with cats with health issues and liaising closely with vets. I always take their advice but I have never been spoken to like this before or since. More importantly, she did nothing for his eye despite being an eye specialist whereas one visit to another vet identified and rectified the problem immediately.
I wouldn't go near this clinic.
