★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The small „Veatriki“ tavern in makrades is a place where you can order delicious food for very reasonable prices. The menu sort of depends on what they are cooking for the day which keeps the choices fresh. The staff is extremely nice and I would encourage you to ask them for recommendations or wishes and if its within their means they will do it. The tables are in the centre of the small village making for a pretty cozy atmosphere.
Google maps shows is as temporarily closed but if you are there for the summer until October it should definitely be open. I would recommend you give it a try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice little snack bar / post office / shop (home made olive oil and wine) on a pittoreske small square with a terrace under a beautiful tree. The mama is making good quality food, cappuccino's and fresh juices. Also suitable for a authentic encounter with local villagers and tourists with a good taste.
