Crowded and no logic to COVID planning. Everyone from east entrance forced over the same narrow path. Most of the items are in scaffolding.

I really recommend starting your acropolis Tour here. The queue is much smalled and faster than at the Main entrance, and you get to see the slopes first which is very enjoyable. A lot of people dont even get down to the slopes from the Main entrance as it is not well signaled.

Pretty useless staff, or lack of staff. Lots of staff to check your tickets and check your passport but literally no staff or signs to direct you. So you end up following the signs to the exit and leave the site via the nearby entrance. Then you walk around to the theatre entrance to then be told that you can only enter once. So apparently I'm the idiot for walk the extra distance around. Maybe I should ask direction from the non existent signs or the no staff. Maybe having five signs to the exit and not any signs to the other attractions about 500m around the rock might not be preferable unless its a money making machine. Possiblly some respect and customer service from Your staff might be in order for people traveling thousands of miles to visit Greece.

Rip off! We bought tickets at the kiosk as the e-ticket option is useless. Unfortunately as soon as we got inside the ticket gate the doctor called and we had to leave straightaway. The man at the gates said it wasn't possible to come back on the same ticket when we explained our situation and we'd have to pay twice. Really, is this really the policy, it was seconds, no refund and reissue option? Sounds like the usual rip off tourists game to me, disappointing! Poor customer treatment!

Though it depends on the time of the day when you go there (we were there between 11-11:30), queues are pretty small (we waited 20 minutes), and sometimes even not existent. The picture you see is how it looked like at 13:30 on a Tuesday in August. If possible, try also buying tickets online which would speed it up even more (we couldn’t due to our cards being rejected for some reason). The official website to buy them can be found when clicking Acropolis in Google Maps. Google will give you many other companies which just resell it

We entered the Acropolis through this gate after taking the metro to Akropoli station. We bought the EUR 30 ticket to visit 7 sites in 5 days (which we recommend doing; additionally, if you buy it at one of the other sites you can avoid the queue that is usually found here). There appears to be a marked route up to the Acropolis and down again, and we ended up coming out at the other entrance which is on the north side.

A lot to see of the history of Greece and Athens. From the old temples and the reason why they were build, but also realizing that they were also used when Christianity took over later on. There is a lot to see, but the descriptions that they put for the buildings are really boring and hard to follow. They could have written them better in my opinion, for people to read it easier and more pleasant. I would say it is recommended to join a guide if you want to know about the details.
