Ano Soulima (Greek: Ανω Δώριο) is a mountain-top village in Messinia, Greece. Ano Dorio is located near the largest village of Dorio, and has a population of 192 Since 2011 local government reform, is a community within the municipality of Oichalia. Ano Dorio is used to be known as, and still referred to by many locals, Soulima (Greek: Soulima) - its name from the Souliotes who settled there in northern Greece. An essay posted on the website of the city school describes the participation of the inhabitants of the city, led by their priest, Dimitrios Papatsoris, in the Greek Revolution. Soulima of Messinia is one of the most beautiful mountain villages of Messinia where the dredes were sworn in (revolutionaries of 1821)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Όμορφο, ιστορικό χωριό της Άνω Μεσσηνίας. Εκεί ορκίστηκαν οι Ντρεδες στις 24 Μαρτίου 1821 και την άλλη μέρα έγινε η ορκομωσία στην Αγία Λαύρα. Το χωριό έχει όμορφα πετρόχτιστα σπίτια, καταπληκτική θέα και μια όμορφη πλατεία με δύο ιστορικές εκκλησίες, την Αγία Τριάδα, επί της πλατείας και τον Άγιο Δημήτριο, πουεγινε η ορκομωσία των Ντρεδων, λίγο πιο πέρα. Αξίζει τον κόπο μια σύντομη επίσκεψη, καθώς και ένας περίπατος προς τον Άη Λία και τη Γρηγοραινα.
Beautiful, historic village of Ano Messinia. The Dredes were sworn in there on March 24, 1821 and the next day the swearing in took place in the Holy Lavra. The village has beautiful stone houses, amazing views and a beautiful square with two historic churches, Agia Triada, on the square and Agios Dimitrios, where the swearing in of the Dredes took place, a little further. It is worth a short visit, as well as a walk to Ai Lias and Grigoraina.
