★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited Spetses for a holiday, and I had my dog Django with me on the trip. Unfortunately, he became violently ill about an hour after we arrived on the island.
As it was Saturday night, everywhere was closed. Through our hotel (Mimoza) we managed to get hold of Kostas, who came to open his business regardless of the hour so he could help us. He was there within 15 mins of being called, which is impressive!
Not only did he come out to see us quickly, but he did this on his name day! (For any foreigners reading this, that is the equivalent of someone having their Birthday celebrations/party, then dropping everything to go and help someone they don't even know at a moments notice.)
I think that speaks volumes about the priorities of this veterinary practise. The priority is the animals.
Kostas was very polite and helpful, and went out of his way to explain everything to us while he was checking Django over.
We left with our dog in a much better state after various injections etc. (he recovered fully the next day). The bill was also very reasonable, even under normal circumstances, but taking into account that I had dragged poor Kostas from his name day celebrations it was a bargain!
Can't recommend this place enough. Excellent vet!
