It is unusual on Crete to find a church dedicated to St Marina, so my wife Marina and I were pleased to discover this one! Actually it is two churches in one, each dedicated to its own saint. From the outside it looks rather modern, but in fact it dates in part from the 14th century and there are some wall paintings from the 15th Century. If you happen to be around on 17th July (too hot a month for us) it is the location of a large celebration for St Marina.
