★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been in Malia 3 weeks ago. The taxi drivers charge absurdly high fixed prices (7€ for a taxi in Malia and 15€ outside) and refuse to operate by the meter despite their obligation. If you want to go to the city center or star beach at Hersonissos then best use the bus. There are 3 bus stations in Malia, 31, 32, 33 where the bus stops. Just look up the location on Google maps. The bus costs 1.60€ per person and is available every 30 minutes.
