Studios Christos - Limenaria Thassos

Avoid at all costs!! We booked a week at the Studios Christos but only actually stayed two nights and paid out for another hotel. On arrival we were told off for being late ( our flight was delayed ) and both myself and my friend were reduced to tears by the male staff. The hotel looks nothing like the brochure and when we brought this up we were told ' a room is a room ' our sea view appartment actually looked out onto a building site. Being two single females we were so intimated we had no other option but to move hotels and when we discussed this with other guests it became apparent we were not the only guests that were told off or shouted at. I work in hospitality myself and I am amazed that this hotel has any good reviews online, if you look further there seems to be a few pages that have been 'deleted' because of such bad reviews. If you are looking at staying I would advise to look at other options which will not only be cheaper but also come without intimidation tactics and alpha male overcompensating egos.

Location is great, cozy and comfortable. Music in the bar always very food, the staff extremely warm and kind

Very poor studio with hardly basic equpment. Balcon with metal chairs and table, unconfortable, hot or cold for sitting-depends on weather...Bathroom is very small, with no holder for soap or shampoo...And the most important thing, there is no wall or paravane between balcones, so there is no privacy at all. On the other hand, boss of that studio is so warm an kind man, very hospitable and he really want to solve every problem. He offer to us other chairs and table and everything we need in the kitchen. Sweemingpool is good, but you can use it just if you order drink in restoraunt nearby. We payed 50 € per night...I think it is just average studio.

The place to be! Very good accommodation, 1 minute from the beach, lovely view, food is good! One downside was the lack of hot water 2 evenings in a row, but after we told them, they immediately resolved the issue.

We were accommodated in the so called “side-block” of the hotel, which in reality are a few rooms on the first floor. The rooms were clean, but very tight and the lighting was scarce. Also, if you don’t like lizards or other animals, be aware that they are a frequent and not invited guest in your room. On the other way, the hotel staff is simply amazing- kind, welcoming and responsive(even though we were staying there in the end of the summer season). The hotel manager is a bulgarian guy- very nice and always ready to help and assist you with everything. The location of the hotel is perfect- very close to the beach and just a 200-300m to the city centre.

Great place, amazing people,clean,tidy and in front of the beach! Perfect private beach side with sand,not stones. Definitely coming back!

Positive: The room we ended up staying in was ok. It was clean and spacious. The villa is situated near the port , so you have everything you need very close by. The villa's restaurant was very good as well. Beach is very close, 1 minute walk, and very intimate.. Negative: When we arrived, we were greeted by a staff member (not the owner) who tried to place us in a different room, not the one we booked. The room was dark, small and did not smell good. Eventually the owner showed up and we were placed in a nice, clean, apartment bigger then what we originally booked (no extra fee)..

The rooms are not the same as in the picture. The main issue is the noise,there is a lot of noise,from the other rooms you can hear everything,from the pool,from the hol. It is not suitable for children. I could not rest or sleep. The location is nice,near the beach,but the noise is horrible,to much noise,will not come back and I do not recomand for families. The fridge was dirty and smell ugly also the air conditioner. If you leave the door open there are lots of mosquitos coming in. A big NO and disapointment
