★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Δεν είναι ο χώρος, ούτε τα μέσα, ούτε τα πολυδιαφημισμένα ονοματα εκπαιδευτηρίων που κάνουν τη διαφορά στην εκπαίδευση, είναι οι ανθρωποι που προσφέρουν, νιάζονται και βιώνουν την καθημερινότητα του μαθητή. Ένας άνθρωπος από αυτούς είναι κι η κ. Ελένη Θάνου, την οποία γνώρισα κάτω από δυσκολες και απαιτητικές συνθήκες στο εκπαιδευτικό μας σύστημα, μέσα όμως από τις οποίες ανέδειξε την αρτια επιστημονική της καταρτηση αλλα και την ολοκληρωμένη προσωπικότητα ως άριστη εκπαιδευτικός. Ο εκπαιδευτικός πολυχώρος που δημιουργησε έχει αποκλειστικά τη σφραγίδα της και δίνει τη δυνατότητα σε μαθητές (μικρούς και μεγάλους) να βάλουν τα θεμέλια για το "ταξίδι" στην κατάκτηση της γνώση και της επιτυχίας σε όλη τη διάρκεια της ζωής στους κι όχι μόνο εντός του σχολείου.
It is not the space, nor the media, nor the much-publicized names of schools that make a difference in education, it is the people who offer, feel and experience the everyday life of the student. One of them is Mrs Eleni Thanou, whom I met under difficult and demanding conditions in our educational system, but through which she showed her excellent scientific training and her integrated personality as an excellent teacher. The educational space it has created is exclusively stamped and enables students (young and old) to lay the foundations for the "journey" of life-long knowledge and success, not just within the school. .
