Sun Beach - Exasterou

Nice rooms, nice brekfast, very polite housekeeping , but staff in the bar is dissaster. Waiting for waitress alredy for 30 min just to take order. For such a nice hotel, staff should be more effective.

A lastminute booking and and we ended up at this hotel and what a jewel is was! Our room was spacious with plenty of wardrobes, drawers, AC, toiletries, hairdryer, TV, room safe, extra bed sheets, pillow, towels, etc. The only thing missing, for us, was an iron - but I am sure that would have been available.from reception. Also, the WiFi was excellent and easily covered the whole of the hotel and pool area without any connectivity issues. The pool area was just right for us. The pool is cordoned off until 10:00am when the lifesaver arrives then opened up for everyone even the general public. But there was never any frantic sunbed "marking" with towels, no panic of trying to get the ideal spot at stupid o'clock in the morning before anyone is out of bed as people didn't arrive until about 11:00 and then it was in drips and drabs with plenty of beds to pick from and the beauty of it it's a suntrap so all locations were bathed with the sun along with good sized parasols when taking a break. Towels.are handed out by the lifeguard at poolside on a daily basis. Altogether, a very relaxed, laid-back poolside experience. Likewise with breakfast, lunch and dinner it all being easy going without the feeding of the 5,000 experience I've had at other locations. Breakfast was a case of wandering down, pick your table as.there were plenty to choose without any hassle or stampeding hordes and likewise with lunch and dinner. Again, all laid back. For dinner you are asked to wear trousers and closed shoes but that was generally ignored with people wearing shorts, sandels but no one wore their swimwear. The poolside bar was run by a guy called Kostois and what a great ambassador for the hotel was he! He was a wealth of knowledge and advice about the surrounding area, a relaxed easy going guy who went out of his way to be helpful, a mixologist, ever friendly with a beaming smile at whatever time of day or night and mixed.effortlessly with all, whether tourist or off duty flight crew. He was the guy we saw on a daily basis and he was the guy who epitomised the overall hotel experience. Excellent! The location of the hotel is 100 meters from the beach again with plenty of sunbeds. Once you hit the beach you can turn left and 200 meters away you've got a number of bars, restaurants and the like to pick from. Turn right, walk for about 1 Mile on the beach and you enter a much busier number bars, clubs, retuarants, etc. Wherever you end up, the sunset and rise are spectacular. Overall, a great hotel which, based on our experience, we wholeheartedly recommend without any vested interest.

The buffet just is not perfect but again, it's very good. A very nice, warm place especially for families, close to the beach and relatively close to the city center. It has a good number of amenities too, the best being it's specialized room for movies, lectures or shows which was eventually useful for some parties and gatherings too.

NOT a 4* hotel. Not even close. I booked a double room for me and my wife and when we got there they gave us a twin room with 2 single beds. The room smelt and the bathroom was full of mould. I asked them to move me to a better room with a double bed in it as I booked it. They said they would have to give me an "executive" room if I wanted a double bed and I would have to pay an extra 10€ per night. The room they gave us was an improvement but I would be embarrassed to call it executive (see attached pictures of "executive" room). The mattress was very hard and I didn't have a decent night sleep. The room was clean. Generally the décor was from the 70's or 80's and the hotel is in desperate need of an update. The only positive about the hotel was the swimming pool area. It seemed clean and it was a large pool with plenty of sun loungers. I personally would not stay there again, especially for what I paid, and I couldn't recommend it.

Sun Beach is a lovely hotel to stay in. Every staff member from Reception , Bar, Pool area ,Dining Room and Cleaning were so friendly and welcoming. The Dining Room is very tastefully designed with white tablecloths and chair covers. The Pool area is a delight and spotless. The Lifeguard will provide you with towels which you can also bring to the beach (which is only 100 mtered away) if you wish. There were three of us in the room and we had plenty of space. Beds were comfortable but however the room air conditioning did not work. We booked for breakfast and evening meal . We had no problem finding something tasty to eat from both buffets. Special thanks to Costas, Natalia and Yannis who always greeted us with huge warm smiles and made us feel so welcome as guests in their Hotel. They went out of their way to be helpful and provide as much information as they could to any questions we had.

First time here. Simple-You get what You pay. It's not 4 star hotel if You ask me. More like 3 stars. Rooms are clean, spacious and with good sound isolation. Terrace is also spacious. Swimming pool is good, can be crowded to. Breakfast is included and is the same every day, nothing special. Staff is plesent and nice. No gym. Central air conditioning is good. Bathroom is OK, old but I can't complain. This hotel is full of people with small kids and older couples, not for young people. Quiet and calm. Beach is small and without showers, just sun umbrellas and beds. Sea can be clean, but when we came out was dirty with sea weeds.

Very poor quality and staff. Not very clean hotel. Same old Stinky mop to clean all rooms. Old dirty carpets on the floor. Shower full of moulds and dirty shower curtain. Recurring problem with hot water. Happened 3 times during my stay. Hotel staff doesn't care much about it. Same food served daily at breakfast and dinner buffet, sometimes not fresh or badly cooked, not to say sometimes (one occasion) rotten fruits. Given the price you'd expect better. Avoid the place.

The hotel is great! People here are polite, friendly and ready to help. The rooms were clean, cozy and spacious. The food was delicious and the drinks from the bar were great! I enjoyed the stay very much! The hotel is almost on the beach. They have their own beach and it is more than great over there ! The beach is clean, the water is gorgeous! Good job!
