Since 1983 the Greek taverna ‘Ta Vlachika’ is placed in a beautiful environment, where tradition and quality combine a truly welcome atmosphere.
It is placed at the center of Dilofo Varis with easy access from Leoforos Evelpidon (Leof. Varis). It’s also only a few kilometers away from the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.
The cozy environment and the traditional Greek cuisine together with the experience of thirty years, are inviting you to enjoy the food of excellent quality and taste.
Our philosophy is simple, the good food must be accessible to everyone therefore we keep our prices low.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious authentic and traditional greek food. Main dish is the baby lamb roasted over charcoal. Everything was tasty. The intestine rollsvwas not good for us it was filled with liver and other stuff. The roasted lamb was exquisite and the yogurt (tzaziki) with garlic and cucumber is amazing. The fried cheese also is very good, they offer also as desert a bowl of yogurt with honey on the side. Was a very good experience. Enjoy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The appetizers were very good yet the main dishes were somewhat underwhelming. I loved the taverns atmosphere and the waiter treated us very well. The "food" star of the show was the complimentary grilled chilies and the potatoes, that came with the lamb and pork.
Note: If you are taking a Taxi or Uber, just know we had to walk 2 kilometers before a taxi finally stopped for us. Uber just wouldn't take our ride at all. (This is not the restaurants fault and I did not reflect it in the rating)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They always have fast service and tasteful food. What else to ask for? We ate greek salad, fried eggplants and eksohiko/exohiko. Bonus: The beer was really cold.
PS: Try grilled ribs. I ate another time and they had an actually mouthful taste.

Do your taste buds a favour and book a table, you will not regret it.
All food is cooked the traditional Greek way, slow cooked lamb, you can choose pretty much any part of the lamb from the brains to the succulent meat, flavours that burst in your mouth, freshly baked bread. The Salad is a must with fresh garden vegetables and chilled roasted vegetables topped with a huge slab of feta and dressed with a traditional Greek dressing, honestly the best salad I have eaten anywhere in the world. We finished off with a traditional Greek desert locally made ice cream topped (and I mean topped) with a river of local honey. The staff really make you feel like family and the atmosphere will stay in your memory for ever! A HUGE 5-STARS
