★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Erato is the quintessential seaside Greek Taverna. The seafood is fresh and delicious. The house wine is refreshing. The prices are reasonable (and much lower than the flashy neighbors). The restaurant is run by a family and very welcoming. My wife and I have eaten at all of the restaurants on Loutraki’s strip and we keep coming back here. [I am American and my wife has family in Loutraki and we visit annually].

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ate alone and unfortunately wasn't happy. Only one of the people working there seemed to care whether someone finally noticed me or not, and he was the only reason I didn't walk out when I felt I'd had enough being ignored in favor of more profitable tables with more numerous customers. The waiters were unfriendly to each other, almost shouting, the Greek salad had almost no oil in it, and the tiny portion of octopus that I had - it was also served in a very small plate, I was sure it came from the starters section, like "oh, here's what you can take with your beer" or something - cost 12 euros. 12! Normally in a place like this, for 16 you can have a full dish. Top it off with the unfortunately common practice to give you bread, regardless of whether you ordered it or not, and charging you 1€ even if you didn't touch it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place, fresh grilled calamari was very tasty and costed 21 euro together with potatoes. Greek salad is also good and big portion. The staff is friendly and told honestly what is cooked from fresh fish and sea products and what is made of frozen ones.
