Ταβέρνα Βασίλης, Λογγός Παξοί - Λογγός Παξοί

We were in Paxos island for a long weekend in June just the two of us. We had heard about Vassilis so we made a reservation for our first night there. Book your table for the whole summer season. Many people without reservations were turned away because there were no available tables during the night. We arrived early around 8pm to watch the sunset with a glass of prosecco, as we did. The tables were already set in a manner that doesn't look like your regular greek taverna. It is not a taverna as we realised when we were handed the menus. Mainly fish (there were three or four meat options) and seafood. The wine list was extremely impressive with only bottles wines from Greece and abroad. There was no wine by the glass, keep that in mind. The owner, Kostas, helped us with our orders. A very polite and passionate man about his food and business. We chose the sea bream carpaccio, the bonito ceviche, the tempura vineleaves filled with seafood, grilled octopus on a celeriac puree with wild greens and we shared (one main) a beautifully aromatic lemony cuttlefish risotto. We finished our glorious dinner with an olive cheesecake with rosemary. Our choice of wine was a bottle of assyrtiko 2015 from Santorini, named Pure by VSV winery. Service was good all in all. The food was excellent. There was nothing to fault. To sum up let me tell you that we made a reservation for next day as well! And everything was just as good! Quick summary of our order: seabass ceviche with sea urchin and caviar, a greek salad with fried feta cheese, seafood linguini and fresh black (cuttlefish ink) pasta with pesto and calamari. The prices are not those of a small island taverna but they totally depict the fine quality of the chosen produce for each dish. And the portions are good! I'm just thinking about next summer and the first opportunity we get to visit Vassilis again!

I’ve visited this restaurant last year the food was not something special I was disappointed a bit. I visited it again yesterday and I have to say it was one of the best meals I had ever,congratulations to the cookers for this dinner. And I have to say it was an amazing view.

Extraordinary Delicious food! I visited Paxous for one week in September and ended up eating here five times! Yet still the food and customer service consistently exceeded my expectations! Truly amazing dishes and friendly staff with product knowledge and professionalism. Not your typical Greek Taverna... Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely banging. Don’t believe the naysayers. Best restaurant in Logos. The service was great, not only by Logos standards but generally. We went back maybe 6 times in our trip over 2 weeks. Standout dishes were: whole grilled grouper; cuttlefish risotto; grilled tuna steak; beef cheek pasta; anchovies to start; cerviche oyster. Some other dishes didn’t quite hit the same standard, but none were at all bad. The best bit about the place though were the wines though. Better selection than anywhere else in Logos, to the higher standard and at the same price, and the sommelier was a lovely guy who paired the wines to your dishes phenomenally. Given that it’s the same price roughly as the other tavernas in Logos going there every night is a no-brainier

Traditional seafood restaurant located in one of the most beautiful islands in Europe! Paxos Island in Greece. Inspired and tasteful Mediterranean dishes with fusion approach! Great variety of Greek and international wines and quick and polite service in any case. Of course, reservation is highly recommended during high season. Best impressions from food quality and service! Vasilis, the owner of the restaurant is always helpful and polite in any requests!

Tavena Vasilis in Longos (not to be confused with Vasilis Restaurant in Gaios!) is on the harbour, so you'll have to tuck your feet in when the local bus comes past, unless you're seated around the corner! Excellent food and good selection of wines. You'll also find a recipe on the place setting.

Excellent gourmet fish food. The seafood linguine was tasty and generous. The sea bass was perfectly cooked. The most tender pork neck I’ve ever had. The stuffed calamari though was so so. Prepare to pay for it, one of the most expensive restaurants in Paxos but recommended.

Perfect location to enjoy some gorgeous food. The waitress we had was welcoming and lovely, and the food came quickly and was extremely high quality. There are some nice shops nearby after your meal, and the views from our table were incredible.
