Said best by our sever, they offer Greek food, at Greek prices similar to how they'd eat at home. Strongly recommend this spot if you're in Thira! We ordered the grilled feta, musaka, oven lamb, and veal in tomato sauce.

The rooftop terrace is spacious and calm, with a view on the sea (east side). The food was pretty nice overall (maybe too salty to our taste though) and the prices were good compared to the average price in the region.
S	Steve Green on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If your like me and love traditional greek food, then Taverna Simos is the place. OK, it's not overlooking the Caldera, but the food here is excellent. We sat on the roof top terrace overlooking the other side if the island. They have great barrel wine served to the table in a carafe. We had 3 starters (grilled feta, vine leaves and grilled eggplant} , two mains (beef stifado and lamb from the oven} , 1 litre of red wine and a large bottle of water. All this for a very reasonable 61 euros. Considering you will be paying over double for the same thing overlooking the Caldera which we did several times, and in my opinion eating food, whilst still good, did not have the Greek charm that we come to Greece for. If you looking for the same thing, then give it a try.
D	Daphne Lathouras on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent taverna with very reasonable prices. We stuck with classic taverna dishes. Papoutsakia, soudzoukakia, pastitsio and yemistes. Ate our only 2 dinners in Santorini at Simos because the first was so delicious. No views but who needs a view when the food looks this good!
