★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The real local experience. Don’t expect a fancy white table cloth and uniformed waiters. This is Spiros’s house. Order what he recommends (Dorado of the day is incredible), have a pitcher of local white wine and enjoy the ambiance of a down to earth, charismatic restaurant experience. The cashier (he’s been there forever) might fall asleep during lunch service. You might have to pick your own icecream. You might even have to move your own parasol. You’re in Captain Spiros’s house. Suck in the view, chat with the other tables who’ve been coming for 50 years and relax.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The short boat journey and beautiful white sandy beach is finished by Spiro’s taverna, a short barefooted stumble from the sun lounger where he plays host in perfect Greek style. The food is simple and delicious, with the spit by the entrance guaranteeing a fabulous meal. Made our holiday!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Didn't have advertised ice creams, the freezer has been left open and ice formed on the cones, and the waiter was very oppressing. Increased the prices to 6 euros for 2 small cornettos. Owner was sarcastic and rude, throwing money back at you on the cashing desk (which btw was dusty and never used to print receipt ...) ... not recommended !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredibly good food. Nice Staff and premium Sandy beach. Way too much people day time but the Food is worth it. Try the lobster spagetti with monster lobster with pasta in tomato sauce. Boom!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been visiting Paxos and Anti Paxos regularly over the last 30 years. We have eaten at Spiros the last 3 visits since Captain George's closed down on the first ( sandy) beach (often wonder what happened there). Got to say the food has always been consistently tasty and large portions, loos basic but clean and the shower is a bonus.
The prices are higher than in Paxos by roughly 20 % but then again they have to ship it on Paxos. This year was the first time we have been charged for using the sunbeds which was 1t euros for the 2 of s.from

We paid 86€ for two people but the food was freshly grilled and the quality was very good.
The staff was friendly and quick to serve our table.
