★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was clear the food was homemade, we had the rabbit stifado, pork souvlaki, and the pastitsio. All three meals were wonderful. The family that runs the restaurant was warm and welcoming. They even included a complimentary custard pastry (didn't catch the name) that melted in your mouth. If you had one meal on this island, Taverna Tzanakis would not disappoint.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful greek traditional food. Everything was delicious. We had scordelia, fava and tomatoes with olives for starters and lamb with potatoes for main course, all of which are highly recommended.
The place is in a quiet neighborhood, and was very pleasant even though it was very hot outside. Service was great too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here for lunch. Beautiful local cooking, we had lots from the appetiser menu (possibly too much but we managed?) it was all delicious. Their home made wine is great too! Loved it, sorry we didn't go there sooner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For everyone health, please do not order the lamb in lemon sauce. You will not taste any flavor of lemon but only salt. The potatoes look like potatoes but actually they ate like the huge bulks of salt. I hope it just was a mistake in this case. Good luck to your heath.
