Taverna Vassilis - Davaki 3

The place is a ripp - off. A guy will promote it at the port claiming that the place is close & with an authentic Greek kitchen. He says he is the sun of Vassilis - Tomas. We went with a group and this was a total MISTAKE. We ended OVERPAYING and HUNGRY and waited 2h for the crappy food to arrive. The service is unprofessionell and rude. They could not handle our simple orders until 22:30 (we went for dinner at 20 were so hungrig after coming from abroad). We were starving and in a hurry because we will sail on next day. When the "food" arrived (after a lot of fights with the stuff) , it was so crappy, I could not eat it. Their kleftiko is a complete joke. We were charged coca cola and other stuff on our bill that we did not consumed. The toilet was such a dirty mess, no locker and mixed gender. My "calamari" and "salad" were ENEATABLE. I have been in Athens for a while and I have never ever seen such a bad kitchen, leave alone the service. I wonder who allows this guy to go advertise the place at the Kalamaki port to the people. If you want to eat something normal around, go a few meters away at the corner to Aegean Taste - all u can eat for 14 eur or any other place around like DiaNoche but never to this scam.

Nice and comfortable taverna, close to marina with friendly staff. The food is tasty and very quickly served.

A great start to our holiday. Stayed in hotel apartments on same road before collecting our yacht at Alimos Marina next day. Food choices were excellent and the service great. Recommended!

The food was fresh and okay, but you have to order everything seperatly, not even a slice of lemon or onion with the meat, and the sides are in comparison to the main course quit expensive. I think there is alot of competition in the Alimos area and we had better experience elsewhere.

I do not know the reason why you would want to back to this place. You will not. For all the reasons. *We are not tourists, we are living in Athens, but we were very hungry and tired to leave this place and were caught by “Vassilis” ? Taverna. The portions are very small (In Greece, especially Taverns ? used to be huge!) and the service is very customer-oriented and attentive ?? can bring you even more food if it’s a big company, but not in that place ?? for 3 people they bring plates like for 1 person. At the same time, the food is nothing special and the prices are very high. The atmosphere is average, the toilets are unpleasant. + The next table with 5 grown men stared at us all the time. Disgusting experience! The evening was great, just because my friends and I are always positive!??

Very fresh food, tasty and good quality! Fries were homemade nicely seasoned and fried, bbq sardines were also tender and nicely seasoned, fava was really mediocre, saganaki cheese was ok, fried zucchini was excellent and taramasalata was exquisite!

In this restaurant we experienced the worst behavior of the staff to the guests we have ever experienced. We were served by two waiters and both were extremely disrespectful to us. We ordered two starters and bread. The staff openly and rudely indicated that this was an insufficient order. We started to feel very uncomfortable there. Unfortunately, that was not the end. A portion of bread definitely did not match the two starters. I thought it was probably my fault because I only ordered “a bread" and I didn't specify that I wanted "bread for two people" (even though it was clear). So I asked the staff for another portion of bread and the reaction absolutely shocked me. The waiter didn't say a word, shook his head to indicate disagreement, and left. When he brought the bread, he didn't even look at us and say nothing. When we paid, a third member of staff (maybe manager or senior member) appeared and we decided to inform him about our experience. At that moment two younger waiters immediately mobilized and one of them came to us to listen although no one called him. Guess what - he did not even apologize. The senior member tried to explain the situation by saying that it was a busy day, but when we came to the restaurant, it was almost empty. It was very disappointing for us and definitely I do not recommend this place.

Really good food (we were a group of 10 so we ordered meat and fish platters) and friendly stuff! Also we didn’t wait a lot for our food even it was very crowded evening. I recommend to make a reservation especially on Friday/Saturday evening. We came without a reservation, everything was fully booked but waiters found out a solution - we were sitting on the street ? but it was safe and we were happy about it. Some people after us weren’t so lucky and they didn’t have a chance to try great dishes from Taverna Vassilis.
