★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had lunch here several days whilst staying at the Sotiris hotel on half board, it’s so handy when you’re spending the day at Ammes beach. The mushroom risotto was delicious, the home made lemonade went down a treat with the calamari, the rocket salad was fresh and had a wonderful combination of green apples, walnuts, sun-dried tomatoes, parmesan & balsamic vinegar. The setting of the stunning gardens right on the beachfront & the cleanliness were second to none!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New name (fishcat), new decor and seating, a very summer-taverna feel and Makis brags about his new menu with locally sourced fish (meaning fishing boats in the Adriatic). So, I check with the local fish trader, Yiannakis, and astonishingly his fish is locally sourced! To top it all off, my swordfish and my wife's tuna were cooked to perfection. I did not try his meat or local dishes, but they all looked good. So, another jaw-dropping surprise in Kefalonia this year. The young people serving us were very nice and polite. Best dinner time is sunset time.
