Η ιστορία του χωριού και οι παραδόσεις σχετικά μ' αυτό (Κουσκό) αφορούν μετακινήσεις, αγοραπωλησίες, απελευθερώσεις. Αναφέρεται ότι η αρχική του θέση δεν ήταν εδώ που βρίσκεται σήμερα αλλά στα Καλύβια. Επί Τουρκοκρατίας υπήρξε κεφαλοχώρι (1764) αργότερα όμως το 1824, οι κάτοικοί του αναγκάστηκαν να το πουλήσουν στο Μπέη της περιοχής, ξαναγοράζοντας το λίγα χρόνια μετά, το 1842, οπότε και το χωριό ξανάγινε και παρέμεινε κεφαλοχώρι ως το 1912. Τότε όλη η περιοχή απελευθερώθηκε από τον Τουρκικό ζυγό. Οι κάτοικοί του είναι ντόπιοι. Το χωριό είναι χτισμένο σε 640 μ. υψόμετρο και ο ποταμός Αλιάκμονας
TAXIARCHIS Village
