★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Long wait (more than an hour) for about 30-40 cars in front of me, I didn't know why... looks like they stop working for a while, some non European drivers trying to jump the queue, trying to play smart, do not let them in... Otherwise quick check at the border once we reached the control booth, less than a minute.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poor conditions. Only one person is checking passports on Summer so the people have to wait more than 3 hours to cross the borders. 60 to 70 cars in row waiting to cross the border line... Police is not polite with people...

Very easy, bus from Ionannia drops you outside and you can walk past the cars waiting. Walk up a short hill and similar process to get into Albania. No queues, took 15 minutes total for pedestrians.
Warning - no public transport on the Albanian side, cost three of us €25 to get to Gjirokastra by taxi.
