Το πρώτο εστιατόριο TGI Fridays™ άνοιξε στις 15 Μαρτίου 1965, στη γωνία των First Avenue και 63rd Street στη Νέα Υόρκη. Ο Alan Stillman, πωλητής αρωμάτων, άνοιξε το πρώτο εστιατόριο TGI Fridays™, για να γνωρίζει ελεύθερες «αεροσυνοδούς» που έμεναν στη γειτονιά του. Σύμφωνα με το μύθο, ο Alan Stillman βρήκε το όνομα TGI Fridays™ ενώ έκανε σκι με φίλο του, όταν εκνευρισμένος επειδή τον είχε νικήσει, αναφώνησε "Thank Goodness it's Friday!" Μέχρι τότε το εστιατόριο δεν είχε όνομα, και αποφάσισε να το ονομάσει έτσι.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the most amazing time, the food was sooo delicious. Staff was super friendly, Cozy warm atmosphere with Halloween decorations, and the cocktails especially the spicy pineapple margarita was an absolute dream!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A classic spot for us old-school Athenians. Food is great, drinks are decent, too. They have some absolute bangers on the menu, like their „potato twisters“ which are to die for.
It can get pretty loud inside towards the evening, so if you’re looking for a quiet place to have a nice conversation at during winter, it probably won’t be it. In the summer months you can sit outside and enjoy the wonderful view of the yacht harbour.
The staff is always kind and entertaining, but since the place is popular and mostly packed, it does take a bit of patience to be seated and/or get your order.

I strongly believe that I buy a better quality of minced meat for my dogs barf than the one inside that burger.
Although the blue cheese sauce was delicious, the burger inside was stringy. It gave you the impression that you were eating something plastic and chewy than a 11 euro burger...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are expecting someting traditional Greek in Athens don't visit this place.It is totally American style place as expected, dedicated one waiter for us, quite fast service ✌ Their chocolate pancakes and omellete with avocado were very delicious. I did not like filter coffee they brought. I prefered really filtered coffee not in prepared french press. Anyway, it was affordable and delicious experience. The view is awesome so especially in warmer and sunny weekends, don't forget to make a reservation for not to wait too long on the door.
