★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found Thanopoulos when researching for cheap frozen berries. To my conclusion it has the cheapest in Athens. Later I discovered that it also has 100% whole wheat pita bread, not easily found in Athens. Overall it's the vegan hipsters paradise with an overwhelming variety of delicacies. The prices are fairly good. I wish they could open a store near to the center of Athens, the nearest is in Kifisia ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite supermarket, always clean and with great variety of products, including products of exceptional quality. The only disappointment is that usually there are not enough cashiers and there is a long queue waiting to pay. Also there has been an employee in the cash register who opens a little the packaging of the products while scanning them, which is unacceptable in terms of hygiene, especially during covid-19 times! I observed that a customer was displeased with that and the employee and her colleagues were annoyed by his remark and made fun of him...That is totally unprofessional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This chain of supermarkets, Thanopoulos, are more expensive than other chains but it has the biggest variety and it is more customer friendly, related to the shelves’ organization and if you have to find special food, for example Gluten Free products. It is marked on each label what is gluten free.
Not all the gluten free products are marked but most are.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is perhaps the best grocery store in Attica region. It's a mini franchise found exclusively in the municipality of Kifisia with three stores in total. It has some very rare stuff that you won't find in other stores. Like some more rare flavors of Fanta and Dr. Pepper Sodas, or a big variety of Cadbury products, which is not so common in Greece.
