Why bother having a taxi application while you don’t have any drivers.

Never use a beat driver they will charge you double price and even give you less change back ! I asked a receipt and he cut of the top part with his mane on ! Never trust BEAT taxi !!!!

Terrible! Used to use the app all the time, these days you can never find a driver whatever time or day it is. We should probably uninstall the app. It's not worth trying anymore. It can't find my location, I am forced to use the wrong address so the driver can find me! So frustrating and sad, I used to find a taxi within 5-10 minutes . They were helpful, kind so much better than the random drivers you find on your own. And now here we go again forced to find a taxi driver on our own who won't be rude and deceitful.

Worst service in a world. U can wait for driver more than an hour. Didn't see cab service worse than in Athens. Don't understand why anyone rate this app higher than 1 star. Bunch of drivers just staying on a road side and asking 3 times more than it should be. If u don't have cash or dont want to pay ridiculous fair u out of luck. Drivers - u just idiots of denying progress and waiting for ur 1 cash customer (who could easily run away or be too drunk)insted of making 4 times as much and ud8ng secure pay

When it works its not bad. Unfortunately, this is rarely the case nowadays. Most taxi drivers turn on the app to search for clients whenever they don't seem to pick them up from the street randomly and this is a fact. Not sure what Beat is doing about this, I guess there is not much they can since I wouldn't think they are legally bound to have the app turned on all the time. It is just the greek mentality. So, good luck getting a cab. You might be lucky sure, but generally speaking, you can find yourself waiting for 40 mins by which time of course it is better just to go and hail a taxi on the street. Funny enough the taxi who ends up picking you up has his Beat app deactivated (of course). Also, many taxi drivers can be lazy so they wont pick you up from point A, so I find myself having to walk down to Kifisias where I usually get more lucky. The app itself has a terrible geolocation tracking system, seems that Beat blame Google for that? Perhaps the issue is localised to the Greek counterpart, but certainly pinpoint locations can turn out to go south for both drivers and passengers. The UI is pretty good. Very often the notification system informs you that your taxi has arrived but it could take up to another 1-2 minutes to actually see your cab, depending on how lost the driver is (or how bad the geolocation system is)? I do not know what the problem is. Covid has apparently forced more people to take cabs so not enough cabs available however then, you jump into a cab hailed from the street and you see the Beat app on the drivers screen.

You’ll get a quote that seems great, only to get charged more by the driver. It’s not worth the hassle to use the app. Our driver picked us up at the hotel (10 min from Athens Airport). App quoted 7-9 euro but the driver drove past the airport , past the IKEA and then back to the airport, then charged us 15.50 instead. He said that’s the flat rate which may be true, but then the app should know that as they knew our destination. I just hate smoke and mirrrors. Tell me the truth up front and you’ll get more respect.
