Very interesting spot close to San Rocco square. Entrance through a green metal door that looks shut but rings a bell when opened. Many ex-pats remembered here together with those sailors who perished in the 1946 Corfu Channel incident. As previously posted - beware the mosquitos. Extremely pesky.

After quite a bit of searching...we were not going to be deterred....we eventually found the British Cemetery in Corfu Town. This was not helped by the corroded and shabby signs which made location a bit difficult. We took a couple of wrong turns. I did feel a little ashamed when I saw how bad the signs were. It would be really nice if something could be done about them. Maybe the British High Commission could take a hand in getting them renewed. The cemetery is a little untidy but has great atmosphere and very interesting graves. The graves are military, some civilians and probably some ex=pats. There was an attractive new area with graves adorned wth the red poppies for rememberance day. There was a man at the gate when we arrived and I believe he is one of two people who do their best to keep it all under control. They do a good job and it's strange to say that it is an attractive place with lots of shady trees and flowers and so peaceful. It was extremely hot when we were there so the shade from the trees was most welcome.

A Wonderful enchanted cemetery ...a sense of peace amidst a busy Town. Statues, flowers, tortoises ...the visitors book ... filled with comments & who just come & walk amongst the graves ..to be at peace in this amazing place. I feel truly blessed I was able to lay to rest my Hubby who passed away on June 26th 2018 after 55 years together .Thank you to all that helped ease The situation & the chance to repeat my visits to feel close to my Husband.. Comforting to know that our fallen servicemen are being well looked after. Five min walk from the bus stop. Go and tip your hat if you served.

Beautiful and tranquil place. Stubbled upon it on the way to the bus station, I'm glad we popped in even saw a wild turtle.

Beautiful park full of green located at the heart of town. Definitely would recommend visiting. Spend time looking for the few resident turtles there. Had a great time, use protection.

Place of eternal rest mostly for British society members who lived on Corfu island during Great Britain' rule period. Pretty quaint vibe to the place with interesting life stories written on tombstones there. Worth to visit when you're around.
