★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give it no stars I would. I very rarely do reviews but after a very very sad 'lazy' meal I thought I would to even up all the super great smashing ones. Swordfish from the freezer cooked until so dry virtually inedible. Lamb special consisted of bones gristle and skin with two sad potatoes on a small plate.
A restaurant with captive clients on the non inclusive nights need a rocket after serving this then paying over 50 euros for it. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Forget the reviews. Try it yourself and see what a place it is. Looks nice. Very poor food

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited here when staying at Messini Beachclub. Just a 15 minute walk away on a well lit road. The staff were very friendly, service was great and food was delicious (really nice hand cut chips from local potatoes and great lamb). The drinks and food were all amazing value too. The house wine was very drinkable and comes in 250ml, 500ml as well as the 1l on the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great meal considering how busy it was. We hadn't made a reservation so were very happy with the friendly and quick service. The large outdoor dining area was full and most tables were occupied. The Taverna is popular with tourists from the nearby Nielson Hotel. Food for our group included lemon lamb, lamb and pork kebabs, chicken fillet, pastitsio and greek salad. All tasty and well prepared.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very reasonably priced! Especially the wine. The place to go from Neilson, recommended by everyone I spoke to. Service can be slow when they are busy but relax! You’re on holiday and in no rush. The food is great once it comes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely! We visited just once on a Monday evening. The food was delicious. My wife had the lamb and I had stifado. Both excellent! The staff were great and all seemed to speak English. As an Irishman I don't expect people in their own country to be obliged to speak my language but I do appreciate it! I thought the price was very reasonable for the standard and volume of food. We weren't hungry when we left. Thanks for making us welcome, Phoenix!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a delightful last night meal at the Phoenix. Excellent service and delicious house wines. Food wise we loved the zucchini balls, fried saganaki and grilled sea bream. It’s a shame it was rainy as the hammocks in the garden looked perfect for a hot day, we hope to return for the full experience!
