Wonderful atmosphere, chill setting and music and first class service!
I'll become a regular for sure...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very happy we booked this restaurant and enjoyed a roadside front seat with stunning views across Elounda and Spingalonga. Had lamb stew cooked in garlic with potatoes and shrimp. Both highly recommend, as is eggplant salad for entree. Good value for money taverna Usual 5 star local hospitality, with complementary brandy (lots :)).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have seen a recent review about The Rakakis' Moussaka from a recent customer. I will be honest and say, my husband and I do not agree with the reviewers statement. As fellow UK'ers we have a preference for "piping hot" food back home. We like to see the steam and burn our mouths. However, in Greece, and many other countries also, this is not custom. The Moussaka here is especially delicious, it's not about the "heat" its about the taste, the flavours, the textures... If there is a preference of heat please just ask for your food to be heated somemore, this is preference. Preference is a different point of view to actual flavours and tastes... Don't mark down for preference, mark up for value, taste and flavour experiences. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Liked their calamari, tzatziki, marinated gavros, baklava. However they could have more traditional Cretan mezes on their menu. The stuff was very helpful and kind, the dog, Menios is such a lovely monster!!! ❣️?
Has very nice view and close to Elouda archeological area.
Btw we were surprised we saw a lot of ppl were chosing burgers with french fries in Crete which has one of the best cuisines?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful Cretan speciality food, married with fantastic staff and service. We truly had a fantastic experience at Rakaki. We wanted “Lamb”, and we got in two of the best lamb dishes locally. Tender, full of flavour and herbs, and a good drink and chat in a place with a lovely atmosphere - thanks to all the staff that work with a passion for the food they serve. This is traditional Greek food done perfectly.
