★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die kleine Kirche ist wirklich ein lohnendes Ziel, man kann in ca. 30 Minuten vom Hafen aus per Wanderung erreichen. Der Ausblick auf die umliegenden Inseln und den Hafen von Naxos ist grandios. Auf den steilen Stufen kann man wunderbar sitzen und die Aussicht genießen.
 The small church is really a worthwhile destination, you can hike from the harbor in about 30 minutes. The view of the surrounding islands and the port of Naxos is terrific. You can sit wonderfully on the steep steps and enjoy the view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesetta di Theologaki (Agios Ioannis Theologos) sorge sul dorso ripido della montagna che si trova a est di Chora. È stata parzialmente ricavata da una grotta di granito: le uniche parti che sono state costruite sono la facciata ed il campanile. Da alcune antiche icone al suo interno può essere datata intorno al 1200.
Ci si arriva con una bella passeggiata di circa due chilometri da Chora, ma la strada, anche se in salita, è bella a parte l’ultimo centinaio di metri da percorrere tra rocce e arbusti. Non si impiegano più di 30-40 minuti. La fatica è ripagata dalle emozioni che si provano entrando in sintonia con la spiritualità del posto.
Da qui si gode una bella vista su Chora e la Portara, con sullo sfondo la spiaggia di Agios Georgios, Stelida e l'isola di Paros.
All’interno della chiesetta è messo a disposizione un quaderno su cui i visitatori possono annotare pensieri ed emozioni.
Theologaki church (Agios Ioannis Theologos) stands on the steep ridge of the mountain which lies east of Chora. It has been partially obtained from a granite cave: the only parts that have been built are the facade and the bell tower. From some ancient icons inside it can be dated around 1200.
You can get there with a nice walk of about two kilometers from Chora, but the road, even if uphill, is beautiful apart from the last hundred meters to go through rocks and shrubs. It takes no more than 30-40 minutes. The effort is rewarded by the emotions you feel when you get in tune with the spirituality of the place.
From here you can enjoy a beautiful view of Chora and Portara, with the beach of Agios Georgios, Stelida and the island of Paros in the background.
Inside the church there is a notebook on which visitors can write down their thoughts and emotions.
