Thirides Beach Resort - 1st entrance of Mavrovouni Beach

Lovely location, room (a suite) & particularly delicious breakfast. Electrical outlets in room while numerous, were eccentrically placed for use of personal devices, and some additional lighting around outdoor room entrance with step would have helped, but these are quibbles about such a peaceful and charming place.

Beautiful resort on the water. The weather was not nice while we were there, but you could swim at the beach 80 meters away or pool. Very nice resort, if a little pricey. Hotel restaurants food was excellent with great breakfast also. Bring anything you want before arriving at hotel, as it's a long drive back to town to pick up beer or wine.

We had an amazing stay at Thirides Beach Resort. The staff is friendly and always eager to help and provide advice. The location of the hotel is good, just in front of the nice beach and the transparent sea. There is a supermarket 5mins by foot from the hotel. Gythio, the closest city is not far by car. There you will find plenty of restaurants with fresh seafood. However, I would highly recommend having a car. There are many beautiful places worth to visit in the Peloponnese peninsula. The view is beautiful with the sea and the mountains around without forgetting the hotel, which is very nice all in stones and it’s big terrace with the swimming pool. The room is quite big and the bathroom too, but the best is the little balcony with the sea view. The breakfast has a lot of choice and tastes good. It is the same for the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you go in the Peloponnese peninsula.

Although the hotel was tastefully decorated and clean with very polite and helpful staff there were some details that let it down. The bathroom (room was a twin disability room that we had) was small and the shower wasn't in such good condition. The towels which were changed daily although clean were old and frayed and the beds were truly single beds which were quite narrow. There was no secure parking at the hotel, we had to leave the car just outside on a public stretch of dirt road. Although the breakfast buffet was in most part plentiful there wasn't much choice of cereal/muesli and by the time we went to breakfast the hot dishes were cold and the burners underneath were never lit. The hotel restaurant dishes that we had were excellent (Italian cuisine) but in comparison to other taverns in the area that served traditional Greek cuisine the prices of the hotel restaurant although not exorbitant were dearer than the taverns. The hotel is located right across the dirt road from the beach making it an excellent location if you want a beach holiday. There is also a pool which we didn't use but seemed very clean although a little small. Overall we were happy with our stay but I think it was a little overpriced and some aspects were definitely not four star quality!

Very nice hotel, designed beautifully. We booked a mini loft suit(2 rooms) - it was perfect for us (2 adults and 2 children). The staff was always friendly and ready to help us. The beach is 20m away with free umbrellas, free chairs, new towels as many times as you want per day. The swimming pool is clean and well maintained. The food: very good breakfasts, each day they had for lunch "the food of the day" - a delicious selection of traditional Greek cuisine (3-4 main courses) - perfect for adults, children and absolutely delicious.

Visited the restaurant... 5/5 well deserved!! We ordered quite a few dishes (we were a big company)... Everything perfect and well cooked (we ordered meat dishes). Definitely recommend and for sure I will re-visit it.

Very good but you have to do something with the mosquitoes. You can't stay in balcony
