To Kamaki è una tipica taverna dove il cibo già pronto (così come da tradizione) è FRESCO e buono da leccarsi i baffi! Anche se può dare l'idea di una rosticceria, vedila più come un'osteria dove mangiare cibo cucinato in modo casalingo. Il menù è vario ed è quello tipico della cucina greca. Perfetto se vuoi stare lontano dai posti (e dai prezzi!) turistici e mangiare in modo genuino piatti ricchi di sapore. I clienti sono frequentatori assidui, abitanti dell'isola di Alonissos con cui puoi fare una chiacchera se ti va. Il proprietario è cortese e simpatico, parla inglese e italiano. La sera trovi musica tipica greca (dopo mezzanotte). Da provare assolutamente le melanzane stufate ripiene, di origine greco-turca: Melitzanes imam-bayildì (letteralmente: "imam svenuto"). La leggenda racconta che l'imam fosse svenuto per la bontà di questa preparazione. Provare per credere! Don't be intimidated by the simplicity of the place! To Kamaki is a typical tavern where the ready-made food (as per tradition) is FRESH and mouth-watering! While it may give the idea of a rotisserie, see it more as a tavern where you can eat home cooked food. The menu is varied and is typical of Greek cuisine. Perfect if you want to stay away from the touristy places (and prices!) And eat genuine dishes full of flavor. The customers are frequent visitors, inhabitants of the island of Alonissos with whom you can have a chat if you like. The owner is courteous and friendly, speaks English and Italian. In the evening you find typical Greek music (after midnight). Absolutely try the stuffed stewed aubergines, of Greek-Turkish origin: Melitzanes imam-bayildì (literally: "fainted imam"). Legend has it that the imam fainted from the goodness of this preparation. Seeing is believing!
