And the locals undoubtedly gave us this restaurant's name ''Το Καταφύγιο". I kinda feel like we got lucky. The experience was truly exceptional, wonderful view, vintage decoration, delicious food...Local ingredients, fresh and on point! Ordered 1 village sausage (served with homemade french fries) as a warm starter, 1 spicy cheese dip (τυροκαυτερή) as a cold appetizer and 2 draft beer; paid more or less 20€. And a spoon sweet (quince jam with Greek yogurt) was served at the end of our meal is more than a small gesture! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.
T	Theodore Papasotiriou on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing surprise! On my way back to Athens I decided with my wife to deviate a bit from our route in order to find a place with good food to lunch. Kalavrita sounded a good option, but on our way to Kalvrita we passed Katafigio and after checking a bit in Google we decided to give it a try. Thank God we did! Food was really good and there were so many options in the menu. I took some pictures of the first plates but we were too hungry and food so tasty in order to wait for the rest :) Except the good food and wine, I have to add the very friendly staff and the extremely cozy place. Definetely you should give it a try
U	Usama Elias Hye on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a wonderful experience at this traditional Greek taverna, which is run by very friendly people. As soon as we walked in, we felt very welcomed by the staff. We ordered Horta and Greek salad as a starter, to be followed by lamb chops as a main course. Everything was very tasty. The service was excellent and we got the opportunity to chat with the owner Mr. Giorgo. For sure the restaurant has amazing views of the Corinthian Gulf and beyond (Mount Parnassos is also clearly visible) as well as very reasonable prices. Highly recommend it if you are in the area and looking to experience the superb traditional Greek food.
