★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must must must go! A little out of the way from the port but well worth it. Take a taxi, carriage, or walk. Beautiful spot right on the beach. Amazing and extremely generous family. Fresh seafood. Lots of options.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food! Harrir showed us a great time by first showing us all the fresh seafood options on ice. We chose the Octopus and Squid and they were sublime. We tried the rice stuffed peppers and geek salad too. Both very much enjoyed too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Solid taberna food and kind people! A lady at the cafe recommend to walk along the beach to this taberna. We were from Veendam and it was about 1.3 km walk on a pleasant beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best fish taverns in the area! Delicious plates with local tastes and a big variety of fishes and sea food. But what's more amazing is the proximity to the beach, the view of the Port of Katakolo, the friendly service and the affordable prices!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were on a cruise ship and decided to walk a few miles on our own to hit a local grocery store. We wandered down to the beach and the owner of this taverna offered to show us some of the fresh fish he would cook for us. We decided to grab a table and we got a cheap liter of surprisingly good white wine. He talked us into the grilled seafood platter. It was amazing! I hate sardines, but he brought us sardines with olive oil with our wine. I tried them and I was blown away! They were amazing. And the grilled octopus was fantastic. The owner clearly takes pride in providing awesome food and a great experience!
