★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Είναι το μοναδικό ταβερνάκι στο χωριό Καρυά, ένα μικρό, σχεδόν ερειπωμένο, ορεινό χωριό πάνω από τα Καμένα Βούρλα! Η διαδρομή για να βρεθεί κάποιος εκεί είναι δύσκολη και απαιτητική. Ο δρόμος που οδηγεί στο χωριό είναι στενός, με πολλές στροφές και με κατολισθήσεις σε πολλά του σημεία (τουλάχιστον τη μέρα που εμείς πήγαμε), θέλει λοιπόν ιδιαίτερη προσοχή και όχι βιασύνη. Η διαδρομή παρ όλα αυτά είναι υπέροχη και σε αποζημιώνει από την όποια ταλαιπωρία. Το ταβερνάκι αυτό είναι καθαρά οικογενειακή επιχείρηση και το λειτουργούν (αν κατάλαβα σωστά) δύο μόνο άτομα, παρ όλα αυτά η εξυπηρέτηση είναι άψογη! Λειτουργεί κυρίως τα Σαββατοκύριακα από τις 12:00 και μετά (συστήνω σε όσους θέλουν να πάνε για φαγητό εκεί να το κάνουν μεταξύ 12:00 και 14:30 όχι πιο αργά). Ότι και να διαλέξετε να φάτε θα είναι υπέροχο (έχει πολύ καλά κρεάτικα). Το ταβερνάκι αυτό βρίσκεται μια ανάσα από την κεντρική πλατεία του χωριού και περιβάλλεται από πανέμορφα λουλούδια και άλλα φυτά που μοσχοβολούν και προσφέρουν επίσης καλή σκιά.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Warning : Schedule your visit ahead. After a difficult 30'-35' car journey from Kammena Vourla you see the old village of Karya with this picturesque tavern. Owners Mrs Tzeni and Mr Yannis will give you the impression that you are served from a very close family member. Similar to their hospitality, their food gives you the all the good memories of a home food. In case of evening visit even in mid summer, take with you some warm clothes. The place is so peaceful and safe that your children will love to play around without fear of cars or bad people. At last keep in mind that somebody from your company must stay calm to bring you back home.
