★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μετά από συνεννόηση με το αφεντικό του μαγαζιού πήγα από εκεί να συνεννοηθώ για δουλειά που είχαν δημοσιεύσει στις κρητικές αγγελίες. Το αφεντικό με κοίταξε απαξιωτικά και μου είπε πως δεν πρόκειται να με πάρει στο μαγαζί επειδή είχα σκουλαρίκι στο πρόσωπο και με έδιωξε. Πέρα απ' το απαράδεκτο του να μιλάς με τέτοιο τρόπο σε κόσμο που ψάχνει δουλειά για να βγάλει τα προς το ζην του, είναι κι όλας άξιο απορίας το τι νομίζουν ότι είναι κάποιοι άνθρωποι επειδή έχουν ένα μαγαζάκι.
 After consulting with the boss of the store, I went from there to consult about a job that had been published in the Cretan ads. The boss looked at me disparagingly and told me he was not going to take me to the store because I had an earring on my face and kicked me out. Apart from the unacceptable way of talking in such a way to people who are looking for a job to make a living, it is all a wonder what some people think they are because they have a shop.
