Travel the Greek Way - Svoronou 12

Anna was amazing, informative and very helpful! Our group met at the short building by the entrance of monastiraki, (the church) right across the blue and green line or subway as we call it. Anna took us to eat bougatsa, greek donuts, kalouri, liquor tasting, water with mastiha, another bread (I forgot what it was called) different cheeses (including this delicious creamy feta), different meats, Greek coffee (and learned how it was made), olives and tapas. In between the eating we even stopped by the meat and fish market. The tapas was last and that included sardines, mussels, calamari, meat, chicken, a semi spicy dip, an awesome garlic tzakazi (which I couldn't find anywhere else in my stay in Greece), eggplant and bread. Anna even bought us a drink...I of course choose wine which you can purchase later on the next shop for a VERY affordable price of about $3 something euros a bottle. Anna helped us communicate with the vendor to purchase the wine. Towards the end Anna gave us helpful information about good restaurants in Athens and tours we can do in mykonos and santorini. Overall, this was an enjoyable half day tour, full of walking, learning, eating and pleasant conversation. Side note: wear comfy sneakers or sandals because you will walk a lot. If you wear sandals just note that you will pass through the meat and fish market and your feet might get wet. Also, if you can't be under the sun a lot bring an umbrella.
