★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es liegt sehr viel Müll rum. Der kleine Ort mit den Bänken und Tischen wird schon seit langem nicht mehr betrieben & sieht dementsprechend nicht mehr gut aus. Aber die Natur ist, abgesehen von dem Müll, echt schön.
There is a lot of rubbish lying around. The small place with the benches and tables has not been in operation for a long time & therefore no longer looks good. But apart from the rubbish, nature is really beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Όμορφη τοποθεσία δίπλα στον ποταμό Στρυμόνα. Εντυπωσιακό περιβάλλον όπου κι αν κοιτάξεις. Το ποτάμι ήσυχα κυλάει και τα λιβάδια γύρω απόλαυση για τα βουβάλια. Το βουνό από πάνω υπέροχο και χάρμα οφθαλμών.
Beautiful location by the river Strymon. Impressive environment wherever you look. The river flows quietly and the surrounding meadows delight for buffaloes. The mountain from above is wonderful and a sight to behold.

One must definitely go through the embankment to see the beauty of the lake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This looked like a good spot to park the car and hike down the river to the lake. But we found to starving puppies and spent our day feeding them and tracking down the local animal protection group - always a challenge in Greece. Contacted one in Rodopoli but they didn't respond. The pups' mother returned but she'd weaned them and they were eating grass and gravel to fill their bellies. I love Greece but I wish they'd sort out their approach to 'community' dogs and cats.
