★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In a cosy sidestreet just 3 walking minutes off the plateia (central meeting place) is this wonderful place with tasty mezedes (different dishes to share) and a good local wine. There is no menu but the charming owner Vasilis explains his food of the day. Excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique tavern with no-frills food. There's no menu. The jovial owner roughly explains the dishes of the day and makes suggestions. The kitchen seems to be run by his wife. The atmosphere is so laid back it almost feels like eating in their home. The food is traditional Greek and as basic as it gets: mostly salads, cheese and meat. All four meze we had were good, above all the fried potatoes. Just don't expect any culinary sophistication. Prices are very low: around €25 for two people, including drinks.
