FRAUD! My friends and I booked Under the Sun in May 2021 for our July trip to Tinos. We were so excited for the luxury accommodations based on their Instagram and website. The hotel "concierge" sold us on amenities like yoga overlooking the ocean and their delicious breakfast. The NIGHT BEFORE our departure to Greece we were contacted by the hotel. The woman on the phone was frantic. "There's been an *emergency* with the property, we cannot honor your reservation." Since we were literally boarding our flight in the morning with many parts of our trip non-refundable we decided to work with them on new accommodations. First, the hotel offered us an AirB&B which was out of the question. Next, they offered us a suite/house at one of their sister properties, Living Theros. Although Living Theros was far from the luxury we wanted (a quaint village house with 2 beds and one bathroom for 4 people) we did not have another choice. We arrived in Tinos and decided to check out Under The Sun in case we wanted to go there on another trip, the concierge made it seem like the emergency was a complete fluke and the hotel would otherwise be operable. Imagine our surprise when we arrived to A PILE OF DIRT. The "hotel" consisted of a few half finished buildings, a crane, and construction workers taking a smoke break. The "emergency" is that the hotel does not exist. We were in complete shock. The hotel is not even BUILT and they are booking non-refundable stays, forcing those that book into their other properties and AirB&Bs at the last minute. They clearly knew the property was not going to be finished when we booked months before. They are advertising on Instagram and booking sites and the property is not even complete, let alone staffed. If we had known before the night before our flight, we would have planned a completely different trip. This is fraud. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Brand new property with magical view and traditional style. The hotel owners were really polite, friendly and helpful, even the hotel was just opened they tried the best to help us have a great experience, (only one weak opened) and we were actually the first guests. I loved the detailed decoration (green traditional marble) the fresh feeling of the brand new room and the stunning view. Breakfast was really satisfied with traditional Tinian products. Visit Tinos for sure and definitely visit under the sun!!!!

Ideal location placed few moments from picturesque Kardiani village and south northern part of the island. Stunning, luxurious with a traditional touch suites hanging off the cliff and offering 180o uninterrupted Aegean sunset views!! Great plus the privacy of each room with Covid measures all in place! Care and Hospitality of the Owners were exceptional who really went out of their way to make any of our requests and arrangements happen!! Without a doubt a highly recommended accommodation and overall an experience not to be missed!!

First time to Tinos for a Greek wedding and we fell in love with the island and Under The Sun. Really great and original experience. The hotel is brand new and the owners Dionysus and Angelo were really kind to us. In the room they offered us a bottle of local white whine and fresh Greek fruits. The room was perfect and as an architect I loved the details and the under ground contraction. Really original idea, hope we visit soon again!!!

Brand new hotel in Tinos. Opened in July 2021. A small number of luxury suites, with private (mini) pools. Buildings integrated into the landscape. Beautiful architecture and interior design with attention to detail! Great location, between Kardiani and Ysternia. Amazing view from the room. Breathtaking sunset! We stayed at one of the signature suites. A spacious bedroom with living room area (that could sleep 2 more people) and a large outside private veranda with a mini pool and a hammock. Breakfast was served at the room. Every day different menu based on local specialties from different parts of the island. Everything was delicious and the coffee was very good! Great service. We had an amazing experience and we can’t wait to go back next year!

It is one of the more beautiful hotels I have been to. The rooms are "sunk in" to the ground and therefore almost invisible to people passing by. The rooms have breathtaking unobstructed views facing West, allowing for beautiful sunsets. The architecture is beautiful and the decor and attention to detail is high. The terrace with the private plunge pool is the best way to relax after a day of sightseeing the island. The breakfast is lovely and the reception really helped us out with all our printing and booking needs. The welcome wine is also a nice touch. It is a wonderful place to relax and wind down, especially for couples. It is a very intimate and private place and allows for full relaxation. There are a couple of really nice bars almost walking distance from the hotel on either side as well as two pretty towns with spectacular food. If you want more action you can take the 8 eur ferry over to Mykonos and party away there.

Incredible thought and detail went into every part of the stay. The design is that to offer total seclusion and it accomplishes this with ease. We found we had to convince ourselves to actually leave this place to explore the amazing island. In addition to the aesthetic majesty, the important functional things like the mattress (which was comparable to any 5 star hotel) and to the wifi made the focus of the stay on the experience above all. Also there’s a great speaker to give your stay a soundtrack. Amazing experience all around.

Stunning, majestic view, words cannot capture the feeling you get gazing at the sea in the horizon. An ideal hotel for a relaxing vacation in seclusion and peace, with spacious and very tastefully decorated/designed rooms. An excellent choice worth every cent of its price, however there are two negatives that I should point out: 1) The hotel grounds were underdeveloped and needed a lot of work - hopefully they will be in the ideal condition next year, as it is a very recent opening. 2) Breakfast, was a major disappointment. The concept was local/traditional dishes and a different menu each day, but in reality it wasn't remotely traditional or tasty or of any nutritional value: fried pie, tart, rock-hard-boiled egg, daily cake or brioche, a lot of bread . A baffling menu with abundant sugar and carbohydrates, but minimal protein.
