Vagelaras - Βασιλική

One of the best greek restaurant in the port area. Fast service and good wine. Totally worth a visit. A lot of street cats came by for leftovers.

The grilled food it's excellent! And a great atmosphere. I recommend also the house wine which is very tasty!

All in all it is a good restaurant. The service was quick and polite. We liked most of the dishes we ordered. Unfortunately they ran out of octopus and mussels so we had to order something else. It's worth a visit.

We visited few restaurants in Vasiliki also those who had more stars but this is the best place to eat here. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food. Thank you. ?

Finally some good fried calamari in Vasiliki. We also had the veal stake, which was done just right, and the tabbouleh which was a bit different from the original but still good. I suggest you come before it gets dark or else you'll have to wait for a table to be available

Big portions, great taste. We've been welcomed by kind waiters and sit in a magnificent spot near the boats and the port. We have ordered octopus and anchovies and everything was big and tasty.

We stumbled into the taverna on our first night in Vasiliki and were so happy that we did! Service was super nice and friendly - we originally wanted a grilled octopus, unfortunately they were out of it so based on the recommendation we opted for fish - sea bream. It was absolutely amazing - beautiful grilled fish, little seasoning so the taste of the fish came through. As second dish we ordered the fried calamari and they were so delicious! Not fatty at all, nice taste, no gummy texture - what you expect and want! Included was a good portion of salad with the meal so after checking with waitress we decided not to order additional salad and it was more than enough. We got a separate plate of fries which were very nice. We also asked for a platter with olives as I was craving for them and we got a big platter of delicious fresh olives - a dream :) We wanted to go a second time but it was unfortunately too full. Would recommend come a bit sooner as this place is very popular. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back again - although a bit pricier but worth the pay as location and food are great.
