Ο χώρος γνώρισε μεγάλη άνθηση τον τρίτο αιώνα πχ με τις γιορτές των Μουσείων. Σήμερα σώζεται το αρχαίο θέατρο ,ο ναός των Μουσών καθώς και ο πύργος της Ασκρας Historic location just outside Askri at the eastern foot of Mount Elikonas. The place flourished in the third century, for example, with the festivities of the Museums. Today, the ancient theater, the temple of the Muses and the tower of Askra are preserved
M	Mikko on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To find the archaeological site you need something else than Google Maps. There is no path connecting the dirt road and the marker. I'm sure there are some interesting stones somewhere but we did not see them. But we saw two marginated tortoises, which saved the day.
