Y	Y.H. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Castle of Nafpaktos is definitely one of the most beautiful, well-built and well-preserved castles in Greece. It has a very rich history that starts in the period of the Venetian rule, and since then it has changed "hands" along the years between Greeks, Turks, Venetians, English, pirates etc. The view from the castle is stunning, and is easily reached by the road that exits Nafpaktos (near Nafpaktos Cemetery) and winds up the hill among the beautiful pine trees. The entrance is very cheap, and a visit here is highly recommended. And most importantly, don't miss the Venetian port of Nafpaktos, with the stone lighthouse. A beautiful site with great importance in the Greek history, full of cafes and restaurants around!
p	paul manka on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic fortress 200m above sea. One of the most intact medieval fortresses of Greece. It begins with the harbour walls to protect the city from attack of the sea. Then rise from east and west. Fantastic views ! Many cisterns inside. A small mosque converted to church, the Vezir mosque. Only 3 euros entrance.

A	Anna Rohde on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went there because of my greek uncle recommendation however, I didnt like it. Maybe its because he likes history and I dont. For me there is nothing interesting there and the entrace is paid, little but still. I would no go there again.

The price of the ticket is really low and I really can't find any excuse for anyone coming to the region and not paying a visit to it. Just please do check out the operating hours so it's not closed when you do.
D	Dejan Braki on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Castle occupies a commanding position high above the Nafpactos town. I went there by car, wouldn't suggest walking up to it. Entered at around 6 PM and had the entire site for myself - I was the only visitor there so chatted with a lady selling tickets. The origins of the castle date back to ancient era with more extensions during the Byzantines. Most of what we see today is done by the Venetians, hence the name, while after them the Ottomans conquered it. Fantastic views of entire region, including the imposing Rio-Antirio bridge in the distance and Peloponnese across. Entry fee only 3 Euros, plenty of parking in front
