Tasos and his wife are delightful and full of stories and their love for the mansion, the village and their hospitality are second to none. For a real trip back in time in a mansion that was lovingly restored over 5 years...

Vergoulas Guest House is a traditional renovated mansion overlooking Kastoria lake. Rooms are large and comfortable and a plentiful buffet breakfast served in an impressive stone walled room. The staff are a credit to this guest house, friendly and couldn’t be more helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely furnished old mansion. But it did not suit us. The smallest bathroom with the sink virtually in the toilet and a double bed which you could only get out of on one side. Unlike everywhere else we have been in Greece the welcome here was totally absent! I regret to say we checked out without staying.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most beautiful old mansions of the area, built around 1850 and converted into a hotel, maintaining all the old features of the building. Each room has a different decoration. The views are just stunning and Marianna’s hospitality was unsurpassable.

It is an old mansion that felt like living in the past, or living in a museum!
Negatives: It has an extremely small bathroom and no soundproofing.
